A Pop of Color

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of No nonsense. All opinions are 100% mine.

My style has definitely evolved as I've gotten older. In high school, fashion really wasn't on my radar due to the fact that we had a dress code that required navy skirts and collared shirts, not much self expression there. When I got to college and joined my sorority, my style was quickly influenced by my sorority sisters. However I look back now and wouldn't be caught dead in some of the outfits I used to go out in...what was I thinking?!

As a young teacher, I like for my style in the classroom to be comfortable yet cute and on trend. I sometimes run the risk of looking like a student but luckily my name tag usually sets me apart. Ha!

I've been itching to add some color to my wardrobe and while I'm not quite at colored skinny jeans yet, a pair of colorful leggings would be an affordable and easy option that would let me experiment with some fun pops of color. No nonsense tights and leggings were the perfect answer for me.

No nonsense sent me a pair of their tights and leggings to put together a few outfits and I couldn't have been more thrilled. Literally I squealed when I opened the package and saw beautiful deep burgundy tights and aubergine leggings. I immediately tried on the bright purple leggings and fell in love. The corduroy material felt so soft. And they happened to go perfectly with my favorite new sweater! Paired with my Ugg boots, I was definitely comfortable AND colorful.

As for the tights, I wanted to create a more dressy look. I could have easily paired my deep burgundy tights with just about anything but I chose a simple black dress with a similar jewel tone necklace. You can never go wrong with an LBD! And with this cold snap St. Louis is experiencing, I can wear my LBD and still be stylish and WARM. :)

I'm glad that I received the purple leggings, after all I was a little nervous to try out adding color to my lower half.

But now that I have tried them, I want them in more colors! And since they are under $20 and at Target (my second home) and other food and drug stores, it will be more than easy to continue adding a pop of color to my wardrobe.

Since I've been home on winter break, I actually got to watch more than the first half hour of the Today show. Jill Martin is a regular style expert on the show and is the new brand ambassador for No Nosense.

I am excited to see how she will incorporate the fun colors of No nonsense tights and leggings into this spring's fashion trends.

Have you worn colored leggings or tights before? Or are you still waiting for the perfect opportunity? If you haven't, A new year is a perfect time to try out a fun, new look.
